Oeoe was inspired from a word 'Oe' which means water spring, taken from a dialect in Kupang - the capital city of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Untuk Tanah Air is a direct translation from Bahasa that implies For The Nation. And this is how they started,
Sharing an outmost curiosity on exploring Indonesia, Francisca and Metta decided to take a leap of faith to NTT – where levels of poverty in the province are relatively high compared to other parts in the country.
Apart from the fact that water becomes a major problems that affects every aspects of life in the province, we would like to become the bridge to improve and support the locals to be able to live a better life. Starting from health and education.
The output from this case study trip is a compilation of visual motions and qualitative research from the places and people that they experienced in the journey. There was no plan, the compass is the people they met in between.
Currently Oeoe is looking for people from every walk of life that are interested in exploring the potential of this project. If you are fond of Indonesia's potential and want to act on it, we would like to hear from you! Let's do something greater than ourselves. Untuk tanah air!
Never hesitate to contact us. Looking forward to talk to you soon!
